When does it run?
It starts on 9 Nov, with a new challenge every Monday for 5 weeks and 4 Jan is the last day for leaderboard entries.

What are the challenges?

Monday 23 November: Challenge 3 - Survive & Accelerate
Monday 30 November: Challenge 4 - Beat the HiTZ Spin
Monday 7 December: Challenge 5 - 30 Balls set a score

Teams

How many players are in a team?
Team of 2 players can enter (with a maximum of 5 players). Not everyone has to play every week.

How are the age/ability group work?

There are 2 age groups, under 16s(Juniors) and over 16s (Adults), split female and male.

What if I can’t get up to 5 players?

Teams can be 2 people (with a maximum of 5 players). if you need a team please email marketing@hitzcricket.com with your location and we’ll match you up.

What happens if all 5 players aren’t available?
A team faces 150 balls in total. With 5 players, that’s 30 balls each. With fewer players, each person faces more balls. Each player faces 2 overs, then swaps with the next player. You need a minimum of 2 players.

How do I know when to swap?
Follow the guided game play in venue.

Can players switch teams?
No. Players play for the same team every week and can’t switch mid-season.

Can I play on my own?
Yes. Individual players can play the weekly challenges and appear on the venue and national leaderboards. Finals Weekend is for teams only.

How do I book?
The person who buys the HiTZ Compete package books every session in PodPlay and invites their players to each 1-hour slot- this is important to ensure scores are counted correctly and saves time when it comes to playing on the day.

Does every player need to register?
Yes. Every player is invited and adds their email address in Podplay before playing, so everyone is covered by our insurance and liability terms.

Scores and leaderboards

How does scoring work?

We use ball tracking cameras in the nets which will total up your score. Your teams weekly cumulative score is totalled to secure your spot on finals weekend in February(top 8 teams).

How do the leaderboards work?

Each week a challenge drops, your team will then submit a score for that challenge, this score will be automatically added to the leaderboard for that week. Your teams weekly cumulative score will be totalled to secure your spot on finals weekend in February

(top 8 teams). We will release a weekly leaderboard, they will also be shared with you via email after your session.

Does our team name matter?
Yes. Enter exactly the same team name every week so all your scores count towards one team.

What if we miss a week?
Teams must complete all 5 challenges to qualify for the finals, play whenever suits over the weeks.

What happens if we have scoring issues?

Scores are submitted on an honesty basis, and HiTZ can review session footage/STATS to check any score.

Who goes to Finals Weekend?
The top 8 teams qualify for Finals Weekend in Feb. It’s free to play for qualifying teams, and teams must confirm attendance or their place goes to the next team.
