HiTZ Compete is the competitive side of HiTZ. Each week there’s a new batting challenge, your team’s best score goes on a national leaderboard, and the top teams meet at Finals Weekend.
You play in the lanes you already know, at a time that suits you. BatFast tracks every ball, so every score comes with the numbers behind it.

Build a team, take on five weekly challenges and chase a place at Finals Weekend.
Each one tests a different part of your game, up to 5 overs per player.
It’s the competitive side of HiTZ. There are five weekly challenges designed by Harry Brook, national leaderboards and a Finals Weekend for the best teams. It turns practice into performance.
Build a team of 2 or more players and buy a 5-hour team bundle. Then play each week’s challenge. Your team’s score goes on the leaderboard each week, and your cumulative score decides who makes Finals Weekend in February.
It starts on 9 November, with a new challenge every Monday for 5 weeks. 4 January is the last day for leaderboard entries.
Yes. There’s over £1,000 of cricket goodies up for grabs, including kit, match tickets, HiTZ memberships and a few surprises along the way.
Between 2 and 5 players. Not everyone has to play every week.
There are two age groups, Under 16s (Junior) and Over 16s (Adult), each split into female and male. That makes four leaderboards, so every team is ranked against its own group.
Teams can be as small as 2 players. If you need a team, email marketing@hitzcricket.com with your location and we’ll match you up.
A team faces 150 balls in total. With 5 players, that’s 30 balls each. With fewer players, each person faces more balls. Each player faces 2 overs, then swaps with the next player. You need a minimum of 2 players.
Follow the guided game play in the venue.
No. Players play for the same team every week and can’t switch mid-season.

Early bird (until 8 November): Junior £90, Adult £110. General (9 November to 21 December): Junior £130, Adult £150. That’s for the whole team’s 5-hour bundle.
Yes. Members get the early bird price all season.
You can book Compete sessions now, for dates from 9 November onwards.
The person who buys the bundle books every session in PodPlay and invites their players to each 1-hour slot. This makes sure scores are counted correctly and saves time on the day.
Yes. Every player is invited and adds their email address in PodPlay before playing, so everyone is covered by our insurance and liability terms.
Ball tracking cameras in the nets total up your score. Your team’s weekly scores are added together, and the top 8 teams make Finals Weekend in February.
Each week a challenge drops and your team submits a score, which is added to that week’s leaderboard automatically. We release a weekly leaderboard and email it to you after your session.
Yes. Enter exactly the same team name every week so all your scores count towards one team.
Teams must complete all 5 challenges to qualify for the Finals. Play whenever suits over the weeks, and use the Christmas catch-up (14 December to 4 January) for any you’ve missed.
Scores are submitted on an honesty basis, and HiTZ can review session footage and stats to check any score.
The top 8 teams qualify for Finals Weekend in February (dates TBC). It’s free to play for qualifying teams, and teams must confirm attendance or their place goes to the next team.
