HiTZ Cricket Launches in East Molesey | Next-Gen Cricket Training Arrives

18 Oct 2024

HiTZ Cricket, a rapidly expanding network of cutting-edge cricket training facilities, is redefining how players train with the launch of its flagship venue in East Molesey, Surrey. This marks a major milestone in the brand’s bold mission to make elite-level cricket training more accessible across the UK.

Founded by cricket enthusiast and former community coach Dominic Reed, HiTZ is on a mission to transform cricket training using state-of-the-art technology, smart data, and a player-first experience. With a booming cricket training industry valued at over £300 million, HiTZ is carving out a leadership position in the space.

Following successful openings in Bolton and Doncaster, HiTZ continues its upward trajectory by integrating BatFast’s advanced ball-tracking, video replay systems, and mobile-accessible booking into its fully autonomous training lanes. The facilities are designed for year-round use and cater to players of all ages, genders, and skill levels.

“Bringing HiTZ to East Molesey is a proud moment,” said Dominic Reed, CEO of HiTZ. “Surrey has a rich cricketing legacy, and this new facility combines heritage with high-performance innovation. Our mission is to make cricket more inclusive, accessible, and exciting for everyone.”

East Molesey was a natural choice, known for its cricket heritage and vibrant community. This launch also signals the next phase of HiTZ’s national rollout, with a London site in Bethnal Green opening this spring and ambitious plans for 200 lanes across the UK—and 500 globally—within five years.

HiTZ stands out by offering tech-powered training that rivals pro-level environments. Drawing inspiration from sports like golf, where motion capture and AR have improved performance and reduced injury, HiTZ is bridging the gap between grassroots and professional cricket.

The facilities not only support individual skill development but also enable more women and girls to access high-quality cricket environments. Inclusivity is at the heart of HiTZ’s grassroots initiatives, and each new location strengthens the game’s reach and diversity.

Runish Gudhka, CEO of BatFast, HiTZ’s technology partner, added:

“HiTZ Cricket is transforming how cricket is played and practiced. With BatFast’s tech, we’re eliminating outdated and expensive facility models, making elite cricket training affordable and accessible.”

HiTZ was built to solve the challenges of traditional indoor cricket venues—high costs, outdated infrastructure, and limited access. Backed by former ECB and Goldman Sachs executives and supported by the BatFast board, HiTZ is gaining strong traction from players, parents, and investors alike.

With its innovative approach and growing footprint, HiTZ Cricket is set to shape the future of cricket training—not just in the UK, but worldwide.
