HiTZ Cricket is launching a new women’s and girls’ cricket campaign to coincide with the start of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, using one of the biggest moments in the sport to help more girls and young women try, enjoy and progress in cricket. At the heart of the HiTZ campaign is a series of “Catch The Spirit” Free Taster Sessions designed to make the first HiTZ experience simple, welcoming and confidence-building. The campaign has been built around a clear insight: many developing female cricketers are highly motivated to improve, especially with the bat, but often face barriers including limited access to meaningful batting practice, lower confidence in pressured or mixed environments, and uncertainty around how to get better. HiTZ is responding with a proposition built on control, repetition, feedback and confidence: Train on your terms. Start with confidence. Get better every session. HiTZ will also offer Maiden Cricket equipment at the Free Taster Sessions. As a specialist cricket brand for women and girls, Maiden creates products that better reflect the needs of female players, helping them feel comfortable, confident and supported as they develop their game.
Dominic Reed, CEO and Founder of HiTZ, said:
“The Women’s World Cup is a huge moment of inspiration, but the real opportunity is what happens next. We want to turn that excitement into action by giving more girls the chance to pick up a bat, get meaningful practice, and feel themselves improving from the very first session.
“HiTZ was created to give players more control, more reps and better feedback than traditional practice can often provide. For girls and young women, that matters. The Free Taster Sessions are about removing barriers — whether that is not knowing what to expect, feeling unsure in a mixed environment, or simply needing a place where they can train with confidence.
“Our aim is simple: every player should leave HiTZ feeling better, braver and excited to come back.”
Lisa Pagett, Women’s Sports Consultant, who has helped HiTZ design its insights and programmes around female cricket, said:
“The insight work showed us that female cricketers are ambitious, motivated and hungry to improve, but the environment has to feel right. Confidence is not built by telling players to be confident — it is built through repetition, support, visible progress and a sense of control.
“That is what this campaign is designed to deliver. The Free Taster Sessions give girls and young women a positive first experience, while the follow-on programmes create a clear pathway for continued development. It is not just about trying HiTZ once; it is about helping more female players see cricket as a space where they belong and can keep getting better.”
After the tournament, participants will be invited into structured training opportunities designed to support ongoing improvement through the autumn and winter.
